On September 24th, Amy Markim, shareholder at O’Sullivan McCormack Jensen and Markim, will speak at CBIA’s 2026 Employment Law Conference in Bristol, Connecticut.

In her session “Drug & Alcohol Policies in Practice,” Amy will address the key issues of drug testing and disability accommodations in the workplace, outlining the ground rules for drug and alcohol testing, clarifying how Connecticut’s recreational and medicinal marijuana laws intersect with federal regulations, and discussing the extent of an employer’s duty to accommodate drug and alcohol addiction, as well as prescription drug use.

Amy is an experienced employment law attorney and trial lawyer who counsels and represents both management and employees across the full arc of the employer-employee relationship. She frequently speaks at educational seminars on employment topics and is active in the Connecticut legal community, currently serving as Secretary of the Litigation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, as a member of the Executive Committee of the CBA’s Women in the Law Section, and as a Director and Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Committee of the Hartford County Bar Association.
